WhatsApp Ordering System for Restaurants

The ordering app your customer already has open. They message your restaurant, see the live menu, choose their options, and get order updates in the same thread — no download, no commission on the order value.

Ordering where the conversation already happens

QR ordering works at the table. WhatsApp ordering works everywhere else: the customer who called yesterday, the office order for twelve, the regular who wants the usual. They send a message, the bot answers with your menu, and the order lands in the same live dashboard as every other channel.

One order, from greeting to doorstep

1
The customer messages you

The bot answers instantly with a welcome and the menu, so the first reply is not "we'll get back to you".

2
They choose what they want

Items and their options — size, spice, add-ons — come through exactly as your menu defines them, not as free text the kitchen has to interpret.

3
It lands in your dashboard

The order appears with the channel marked WhatsApp, in the same list as QR and counter orders, and goes to the kitchen display like any other.

4
The customer gets updates

Order confirmed, being prepared, out for delivery — and when a rider is assigned, the rider's name and number arrive on WhatsApp.

What the restaurant gets out of it

📱
No app to sell

Customers already have WhatsApp. There is no download, no account creation and no "install our app" conversation at the counter.

🔄
Repeat orders get easier

The chat history sits where the customer already looks, so re-ordering the usual is a message away instead of a fresh walk-through of the menu.

🧾
Same kitchen, same bill

A WhatsApp order is an ordinary order: it reaches the kitchen screen, appears in billing and counts in the day's reports.

🛡️
Official API, no false promises

WhatsApp Official orders go out through Meta's Cloud API with approved templates, and the software refuses to send promotional campaigns on an unofficial connection. Meta still controls delivery, template approval and account standing — no provider can promise a number is never restricted.

📣
Opt-in audience you own

Customers who agree to promotions become your campaign list. Campaigns send at ₹1 per message and STOP is honoured every time.

📊
Channel performance, visible

Order counts and revenue are tagged by channel, so you can see what WhatsApp actually brings in versus table QR and walk-ins.

WhatsApp ordering vs an aggregator

Aggregators bring discovery and take a commission on every order. Your own WhatsApp channel brings repeat customers at a flat per-order fee — the two do different jobs.

 Aggregator appYour WhatsApp ordering
New customer discoveryYes — their main advantageNo — relies on your own customers
Cost per orderCommission on order value₹5 flat, or 1% if you prefer
Who owns the customerThe platformYou — the chat is yours
Menu controlTheir listing rulesYour menu, changed when you want
Offers to past customersLimited, platform-priced₹1 per message, opt-in list

Running both is normal: aggregators for new customers, WhatsApp and table QR for the ones who come back. The comparison page covers how this stacks up against monthly-fee POS suites.

WhatsApp ordering questions, answered plainly

Do customers need to install an app to order on WhatsApp?

No. They message the restaurant's WhatsApp number and the bot replies with the menu. Ordering, customizations and delivery updates all happen in the same chat they already have installed.

Is my WhatsApp number at risk if I send order updates?

Order updates are transactional messages about an order already in progress. On the WhatsApp Official plan they go out through Meta's Cloud API with approved message templates — the route Meta supports for business messaging. On an unofficial connection the software switches promotional sending off, and that number carries the same risk any unofficial WhatsApp connection carries. Either way Meta decides delivery, template approval and account standing: no provider can guarantee a number is never restricted.

Can I send offers and promotions on WhatsApp?

Yes, on the WhatsApp Official plans — campaigns go out as approved marketing templates at ₹1 per message, only to customers who opted in, and STOP is always honoured. Promotional campaigns are disabled on any non-official connection.

Does the customer see delivery status in the chat?

Yes. Order confirmation, preparation and out-for-delivery updates are sent as WhatsApp messages, and the rider's name and phone number reach the customer when the order is assigned.

How is WhatsApp ordering billed?

Orders on the WhatsApp Official plan are ₹5 per order, or 1% of total sales if you prefer the commission model. Promotional messages are ₹1 each, and the one-time setup is ₹500. QR and POS-only plans bill ₹1–2 per order and do not include WhatsApp.
